Subscribers count on YouTube is easily set to private or hidden from others creators so that other third creator will not monetized your channel. Probably most of new creators have been searching this question just because they don't have sufficient amount of subscribers on YouTube channel and probably new creators will go to deep thinking like does it affect my channel?, does it prevent my channel to not to grow?, how people think about me? and so many questions like this. so don't hurt your head so much unless do this small trick to hide your subscribers count with no worry.
After going in much detail first understand difference between private and public terms on YouTube, Basically private means when your subscriptions are set to private, no other users can see what channels you subscribe to. Your account does not show in a channel's Subscribers List, even if you're subscribed. But if it is Public then other users can see what channels you subscribe to. Your subscriptions are listed on your channel page. Your account is listed in the Subscribers List for any channel you subscribe to.
Hide your subscriber count
Keep in your mind that if you done this settings or hiding your subscriber count so that no other guy will monetized your channel or it won't be publicly visible to others on YouTube. Then one question raising in your mind that how to see my own subscriber's count? then congrats you are not a robot off-course yes you can still see your own subscriber's count from YouTube Studio app or from website or from general YouTube app platform.
Follow these simple steps below, because from YouTube studio app there is no option to do this settings and it is necessary to go through official YouTube website. follow highlighted orange rectangular box to hide subscriber's count.
- First got to chrome or whatever platform you are using and type YouTube on search bar.
- Without desktop mode YouTube is opening like mobile friendly platform so that user can easily access to videos in one go, basically in this step you should enable desktop mode to access YouTube settings.
- Then Sign in to your YouTube account and after tapping on your YouTube logo which is oriented at upper right corner, after then pop up option will appear click on YouTube Studio option.
- Then you see this gear button oriented at bottom left bar click this gear button for advanced option.
- After you will get this popup option with six options you should select this second option which named as channel.
- After selecting channel option you see sub option which named as Advanced settings select this option and click it then after scrolling downward you see one option which is subscription count uncheck this button "Display the number of people subscribed to my channel" then you done.
- Hit on Save button and congrats you are successfully hide your subscriber's count.
- Verify your steps by searching your channel name whether this works or not, it's works for me.
- Sign in to YouTube.
- In the top right, click your profile picture .
- Click Settings Settings.
- In the left Menu, select Privacy.
- Turn on or off Keep all my subscriptions private.
